Carbery Timber manufactures and supplies hardwood and softwood flooring in a unique and extensive range as seen below.
All the flooring is 22mm thick when machined. It is not a pre-finished floor and requires a light sanding and sealing with a polyurethane, varnish or plastic sealant to give either a gloss, satin or matt finish as desired.
Solid hardwood floors require to be laid on either joists or timber battens. In the case of a new house or extension, it will make no difference, as allowance for the necessary floor level can be made in the sub floor. However, in the case of an existing concrete floor, it will raise the level of the floor by the minimum of 36mm (1.50”).
All the timber is supplied in lengths from 2.44mt ( 8 ft ) to 4.88mt ( 16ft )
lengths - average 3.3 / 3.6 mt ( 11/ 12 ft ). The widths are machined to the purchasers taste but are 65mm ( 2.5” ) to 100mm ( 4” ) for secret nailing.
Boards can be supplied up to 200mm ( 8” ) cover if required.
