West Cork based Carbery Timber Ltd was founded in 1987. From day one we focused our attention on quality and service as it seemed to be lacking in the industry.From then till now the business has gone from strength to strength.
In the early years we noticed that a supply of top quality machined timber was very hard to come by. With this in mind we installed the most efficient and up to date machinery to give the best quality finish possible to all our machined products. We now specialise in the supply of a wide range of Solid Hardwood Floors in long lengths and made to order to suit each customers needs. Our floors have been layed as far away as Vienna. We are also one of the few companies in the country to specialise in the machining of all Cedar Products. i.e. cladding, shiplap , sheeting etc. It wasn’t long before news spread of our quality products and the business expanded rapidly.
In 1988 we noticed that a decent supply of affordable yet high standard Quarry Slate was difficult to come by and only at exorbitant prices. We immediately took steps to source top quality slate and within six months were able to offer our customers a full range of quality slate at half the price of the previous year. Our expertise in this field has become well known and we have supplied slate all over the country including such significant buildings as Cobh Cathedral, St Andrews Church in Dublin, for the Tourist Board and Powerscourt.
